This is the 1Management and Constituency Connect Privacy Policy. It describes how Revtrance Softwares LLP (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use https://constituencyconnect.in, Constituency Connect, the 1Management Chat mobile applications, and related services (the “Services”). This document is the privacy policy linked from the iOS and Android apps and from App Store / Google Play listings.
1. Scope
This policy applies to visitors and registered users of the Services. The Services are intended for individuals aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Contact us at helpdesk@revtrance.com if you believe we hold such data, and we will delete it.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Account data — phone number, email address (if provided), display name, and authentication credentials.
- Constituency association — the electoral constituency linked to your account.
- User content — messages, photos, civic reports, votes, comments, and similar material you submit. Chat messages are visible to other members of that constituency group.
- Precise location — latitude and longitude (and a reverse-geocoded address) only when you raise a civic issue and grant When In Use location access. We do not collect location in the background or continuously for advertising.
- Photos and camera images — only when you take or choose a picture to attach to a civic issue report.
- Device and usage data — push notification token, app version, IP address, browser type, crash diagnostics, and basic logs needed to operate and secure the Services.
- Advertising identifiers — on iOS, the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. On Android, the advertising ID may be used for ads as permitted by the platform. If you decline tracking on iOS, we still show ads that are not personalized using that identifier.
- Purchase records — product identifiers, transaction tokens, and subscription status from Apple or Google. We do not receive your full payment card number.
- Cookies and similar technologies — on the website, as described in our Cookie Policy.
3. Device permissions (Constituency Connect app)
The iOS and Android apps request access only when a feature needs it. You can refuse or later revoke access in system settings; that feature will then be unavailable. Purpose strings shown by the system match the uses below.
- Camera — only when you tap Camera on a civic issue report, to photograph the problem and attach it.
- Photo library — only when you tap Gallery on a civic issue report, to attach an existing picture. We do not upload your whole library.
- Location (When In Use) — only on Raise an issue, so the report can be tagged to the place it happened. We do not request Always / background location or motion activity.
- Notifications — after you sign in, so we can send constituency chat and service alerts you have enabled.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS) — when ads are about to load, so we can use the advertising identifier for more relevant ads. Declining does not remove ads; they will be less relevant.
- Microphone, contacts, calendar, Bluetooth, health, and Always location — not requested and not used.
4. Purposes of processing
We process personal data to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Services;
- Authenticate users and manage accounts;
- Enable constituency discussion and civic reporting features;
- Send optional service notifications you have enabled;
- Show advertising in the mobile apps (and on certain website pages) to support the Services, including measuring ad performance;
- Process in-app subscriptions and restore purchases;
- Diagnose crashes and improve reliability;
- Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse, and enforce our terms;
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Advertising and tracking
The Constituency Connect mobile apps show ads through Google AdMob (Google LLC). If you allow tracking on iOS, AdMob may use the IDFA and related signals to personalize ads and measure them. If you do not allow tracking, ads are requested as non-personalized. Firebase Analytics on iOS is configured without advertising-ID support.
Google’s advertising and measurement practices are described in Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can reset or limit the advertising identifier in iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising) and in Android settings (Google → Ads). Website advertising cookies are described in the Cookie Policy.
6. Sharing
We may share personal data with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, including hosting, authentication, maps / geocoding, Expo push notifications, Firebase (analytics and crash reporting), and Google AdMob;
- Apple and Google, who process App Store and Play payments for subscriptions;
- Other users, where content is intended to be visible within a constituency group or on a public civic record;
- Advertising partners on the website (see the Cookie Policy) and in the mobile apps as described above;
- Competent authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Services.
7. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Account deletion is described on our Account deletion page: after you confirm, the live account is removed immediately. We keep a copy in a deleted-accounts store for 60 days for fraud prevention and legal requests, then permanently delete that copy. Chat messages may remain visible to other members with the name used when posted. Public civic records may be retained in anonymised or attributed form where removal would impair a shared public record, subject to applicable law.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, as applicable), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw optional device permissions in your device settings. Requests may be sent to helpdesk@revtrance.com. We will respond within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days. In the app, Legal & safety and Other settings include links to this policy, community guidelines, and account deletion.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping authentication codes and account access confidential.
10. International transfers
Service providers (including Google, Apple, Expo, and hosting) may process data in countries other than India. Where we do so, we take steps consistent with this policy and applicable law.
11. Community conduct (not covered here)
Rules about what you may post in chat—such as bans for illegal messages, spam, abuse, threats, or incitement of violence—are set out in our Community & chat guidelines and Terms of Service, not in this Privacy Policy. Serious violations may result in immediate account termination. This Privacy Policy only explains how we handle personal data.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
